I’m so grateful that we have our cozy, safe place - our Fab40 website. To me, groups of people sharing and discussing and supporting each other, is the backbone of peace.
There’s a Buddhist prayer that I love. You can substitute your own stuff in there, but the basic prayer is this:
I am grateful for the peace in my heart, and I pray for peace for all beings, all over the world.
(I think the Buddhists wouldn’t use the word “I” so much, but you get the idea.)
I am grateful for the well-being of my pets and pray for the well-being of animals all over the world.
or
I am grateful for the love of my family and pray that all sentient beings experience love, all over the world.
A positive outlook on a daily basis can get you thru just about any struggle you are facing. We just have to remind ourselves of all the wonderful blessing we have already.
Great prayer! If we really stop and think we all have a lot to be grateful for! Sometimes we get caught up in the day to day life, fly by the seat of our pants, get in a hurry, and do not stop and think of how blessed we really are. I know that happens to me from time to time. Of course none of us are perfect or positive all the time, but as humans and for me as a Christian it is something I must strive to do on a daily basis. Life is so much better when there is peace in your life! Thank you for your blog.
