I’m trying to put together a list of money-making projects for women who might need extra cash, or for our teenagers who perhaps can’t get a job this summer.
Here are some:
Pet sitting
House sitting
Driving someone's car to their new home (like, if they're moving across country and don't know how to get their car there because they're flying and the moving truck is taking their stuff)
Mowing people's lawns and/or doing yard work (A teenager I know made flyers to distribute with his phone number.)
If you have computer skills:
- typing someone's handwritten journal, article, travel-log, or work-in-progress into "Word"
- proof-reading someone's novel (checking for grammar, spelling, and the eternally misplaced apostrophe)
Housecleaning
For make-up lovers, you could offer to do wedding or portrait makeup . (Check for the need for some sort of health permit in your town.)
Personal Organizer
Reading Tarot cards at the local bookstore

Another idea...
I represent a jewelry line. If someone doesn’t necessarily want to join my team and the company, but are still looking for work...I offer them to do catalog shows for me and instead of earning free jewelry, I am happy to pay them a commission. Super easy and a great way to earn extra cash.
I wish I had a good, reliable pet sitter over here! Anne, I wish we lived closer. I’d hire your daughter. I have to put Murphy in a kennel while we travel this month and I just hate doing that.
