As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have more friends and more important to have real ones. Remember, life is kind of like a party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay all night, some laugh with you, some laugh at you, and some show up really late. But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess. And most of the time, they aren't even the ones who made the mess. These people are your real friends in life. They are the ones who matter.“**_

    • That is so true! I watch both my daughters struggling with issues of loyalty to their friends and staying true to themselves. I’ve explained that some friends will travel in and out of your life as you grow and mature.
I have a few friends that no matter how much time goes between us talking that we just pick up where we left off. These same women I know will be there whenever I need them and visa versa.

    • So beautifully said.

My girlfriends and I’ve celebrated our friendship for decades. My oldest relationship is with my best friend Julia, this February will be celebrating our 35th year of friendship, we still talk at least twice a day. I feel so very fortunate to have all the women in my life.
