I would like everyone to please remember the four fallen Officers from Oakland,Ca. These four Officers died or rather were gunned down because some waste of a human being did not want to go back to jail. He ruined so many lives because he didn’t want to go back to the place where he belonged. I can’t say that I am sorry that the police killed him. I have such strong feelings because I have for the last 22 years never known if my husband would be coming home after work. He has been a law enforcement officer for 22 years and now my 18 year old son wants to follow in his dads footsteps. I have worried for a long time and it looks like I have more worry time coming. I am in awe of the hard job that ALL law enforcement does. If the public knew half of what Officers go through they might give them alittle more respect. Please keep the families of these four Officers in your prayers, Thank you. Mtmmom P.S My husband can retire in 2 years, I can’t wait

    • Dear mtnmom,

I am so sorry to hear about this. I am the wife of a former P.O. as well. God bless and protect your husband and your son whatever he chooses.

    • My brother in Hong Kong is a police officer.  He started as a blue cadet - meaning he had to follow and trace secret nasty operations.  He rode a motorcycle.  He worked night and days and he could not reveal to us which case he was working on.  I sure understand the feeling of not knowing if he would come home that night or not.

I thank those who are in arm and police forces.  They are heroes.  Without them, I cannot imagine how safe.  Thank you for the great sacrifice from your husband and his family (including you) for all those sleepless night and prayers.

Yes, I have a night prayer that pray for those who work at night - fireman, police, hospital crew and many more.

I will also keep those officers in my prayers - may God rest their souls and comfort their family during this terrible time.
