I have the best weekend ahead of me! Earlier this week, I received an invitation to a reunion of the DJs I used to work with in Cincinnati. My former boss (best boss, mentor, great friend) will be back in Cinti and asked to see who could get together. I am making the 5 hr trip because I will get to see him, plus several old friends I haven’t seen much or at all since I moved away in ‘98. That get-together is tomorrow night.

Saturday, I am reconnecting with an old HS friend whom I probably have not seen since graduation. We found each other on Facebook, and she lives in my old neighborhood in Cinti now, so we will be meeting for lunch. And-she’s gonna treat me to some of the very best ice cream in the world from Graeter’s! Yes!

Saturday night, it’s a short trip up I-75 to my hometown and my BFF. I am going to stay the night with her, and there is sure to be a lot of laughing and pants-wetting (seriously, she has bladder issues and I always make her pee!)

Then on Sunday, it’s brunch with my stepbrother. There was a falling out for some time in our family. Fences were mended when my mom died 3 1/2 years ago, but we lost touch again and recently found each other-yep, you guessed it-on Facebook.

I haven’t been this excited in a long time, and I am truly happy to see faces from my past who liked me just the way I was! But now I am better and am ready to show them the person I’ve become.
