Just a little briefing for those who have not been following on Tux...

Tux was a stray cat that stayed at my front porch last week.  He scared me one night and then we became friends.  Then I let him in my house for the night was cold.  He slept in the laundry room.  Next day, he was out and then he came back.  So I started to feed and shelter him.  Meanwhile, hubby was not happy for I already have 2 birds, 2 bunnies and 2 dogs.  My son and I felt in love with this cat and since he is a Tuxedo cat, we called him Tux.

His tail was wounded possibly via a fight.  He is very compassionate, friendly and lovely and just captured my heart right away.

I thought of human society but really did not like to see him not being adopted and RIP.  So I posted ad on website on “cat found” last night.

Also, due to his wounds, I scheduled an appointment to the Vet this a.m.  My Vet knew my whole story.  We did a scan and found that he had a chip.  The office located the owner and she came right away.

Her name is Cherish which is very close to my real name.  She is a Catholic for I saw the rosary on her car.  She said Tux’ name is “Mr. Pooper” or “Poopy“.  She had him since he was a kitty.  She has no children and Poopy is her baby.

She lost Poopy(Tux) since August for her BF took him.  She has been praying to St. Anthony and St. Francis.  She was miserable.  Mr Pooper(Poopy/Tux) is a father already.  He has a little kitten exactly like him.  Mr. P is 2 years old and the Vet told me he was very healthy.

So I spent an hour or so with Cherish.  She was so excited and even got a speeding ticket on her way to the clinic.  She said this was the best day of her life for she dreamed of Mr.P often and cried.  I told her to thank all the Saints esp. St. Patrick.  I also asked her in thanksgiving, send me prayers to my family.  We exchanged phone #s and emails.  She said I could visit anytime and I would be Tux’ God mother.

So.... what is the lesson I learn here?  I need more love?  Hubby now thinks he should get the dogs chipped (which I suggest to all animal lovers).

As I said, animals come to me and I don’t seek them.  There is a reason and what???  I am still pondering.

I am happy Tux is reunited with his owner.  Yet I feel a little down for I miss him.  I will not seek out another animal and just hold on and see what God and St. Francis have installed for me.
