I met my sister from another mister when I was 18 years old. Her family became like my family. Her mom took me in as one of her own. I spent most of time there, as things at my home were not the best. Dad, step-mom...at the time not great relationships.

Liz and I hit it off straight away as the minute we saw each other we knew we were bff’s. Both of us are 6’ [6‘1“] and having another tall friend was heaven. Scary part is her dad and my dad could have been twins.

Over the years we have moved apart and do not get to see each other as often as we’d like. But distance never separates us. I was to be in her wedding but my MS was too much for me to walk and stand with her, so her mama had me sit with her...family ya know. Over the years mama and I send xmas cards and she always said how glad she was that Lizzie and I were still in contact.

Yesterday, mama Jo this amazing beautiful lady lost her battle with cancer. It came back with a vengeance. Liz and her brother Will were with her. Ted, sadly did not make it there in time.

I am still in shock, numb. I wish I could be there with them, but they know I am there in spirit.

Please keep them all in your blessings, thoughts, and/or prayers while they lay her to rest this week.

R.I.P. Mama Jo heartheart
