In an industry obsessed with youthful looks, Kate Winslet is a rarity indeed.

The beautiful British actress refuses to go under the knife for vanity, preferring instead to grow old gracefully.

So adamant is Ms Winslet in her distrust of cosmetic surgery that she has formed the British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League.

And, in the spirit of the moral-driven cause, she has enlisted the help of fellow British actresses Rachel Weisz and Emma Thompson for help.

According to The Telegraph, the Oscar winner said that she 'will never give in' to cosmetic surgery.

'It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty,' said the 35-year-old who famously complained about an overly airbrushed photograph of herself on the cover of GQ magazine in 2003.

Referring to the use of muscle-freezing Botox injections as a way to limit wrinkles, Ms Winslet said: 'I am an actress, I don't want to freeze the expression of my face.'

Stars who have had cosmetic work done on their faces and bodies are two-to-a-penny in the entertainment industry.

Some of the more openly devoted scalpel and syringe lovers include Demi Moore, 48, and Nicole Kidman, 44.

The newspaper says that Emma Thompson, 52, agrees with Ms Winslet on the issue. 'We're in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60,' said the Oscar winner and Nanny McPhee actress. 'I'm not fiddling about with myself.'

Luckily for many of us mere mortals, a bit of imperfection is a good thing, says Rachel Weisz: 'People who look too perfect don't look sexy or particularly beautiful.'

The 41-year-old married James Bond star Daniel Craig earlier this year.

    • A natural organic alternative to Botox is by using a cream by called bee venom mask. It uses the body’s own defense systems to increase blood flow , increasing collagen , elastin and cortisone to the skin . No stinging involved and bees are not harmed. Camilla Parker Bowles has been using it for years and now Dannii minogue and other celebs are big fans. Also contains manuka honey and Shea butter. Starts from £23 and the girls always post out free samples too. Apparently the middle tons were all having pre wedding treatments !
