How does someone get there self esteem after years and years of being put down and not feeling good . I don’t wear make up I don’t even remember the last time I wore a dress. I feel like I am repulsive looks wise. Doesn’t help the weight either. I just like to walk with my head up and actually get noticed . I think I will never get out of it. I am 48 yrs old I feel there is no hope ...If you got it then you got it..if you don’t oh well its not ment to be. I would love to correspond with another lady who is in a similar position or has come through it . Is there anyone out there. ?

    • It was never self esteem for me....I just allowed family life and issues to let me loose myself. I woke up 12 years after and immediately went into action to make the required changes.

       1. Do my nails every 2 weeks

       2. Did a few massages

       3. Had a hair cut and have it professionally done every 2 weeks in between I put allot in doing it myself at home.

       4. Got new makeup and spend time applying before I go out each day.

       5. Got New clothes....Clothes that I thought I was too old for. Adjusted clothes that was to big for me and have them fitting properly. I added allot of dresses. I too was just wearing pants every where I went. I got rid of the worn clothes I wore to bed and in the house. I dress nicely in my home. My night wear and under garments are now very sexy.

       6. Got me some new perfume and lotions. I spend more time in the bath buffing my body and moisturizing every morning and night.
      7. Accessories and hand bags are now apart of my dressing when i go out. Before I gave no thought to this.
      8. I exercise every morning for 15 minutes and I do facial exercise to.
      9. I pay attention to what I eat and try to eat on time. I have allot of me time at nights when the kids are in bed.
      10. I start to take allot of pictures because I wanted to keep a track of my transformation.
      11. Hubby and I have started date night. We have not done this in the 12 years of marriage.
      12. Took a vacation with my kids at an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. It was the best thing I did in years. We always thought we could not afford it.  

      Like every emergency we had to find the money. I decided to treat every thing for me as an emergency.

      I decided to love me...So that I could love the people that mattered to me so much ...My family.
