Though most women tend to develop drier skin as they age, some women may continue on with oily or combination skin. This can be problematic leading to a tell tale shine a few hours after cleansing.

Toners, facial wipes and other absorbents are effective to some extent. However, they often only work for a few hours leaving you with the same shine that you started with. And alcohol is often added to these products leaving you to cope  with dry or irritated skin instead!

What's the best way to deal with the shine?

If you have oily skin, stay away from richly textured creams and lotions. In fact, you may be wise to go without a moisturizer. It may take some experimenting on your part to find out what works for you.

If leaving out a moisturizer still gives you no respite, you may want to try products that are developed specifically to help combat excessive facial oil. A product like [Link Removed] is a cosmeceutical that uses new technology to absorb facial oil. It contains Polybibe, an acrylate copolymer, with fine micro particles. These fine particles act like sponges to absorb facial oil as soon as it's produced. Plus, the formulation is invisible so you won't see it on your skin.

Certainly worth a try if oily skin and shine are an issue for you.
