Help.
I have had shingles for 2 weeks now. The doctors have given
me 5 different antibiotics. To say I am in pain would be putting it mildly. I have not been able to work during my
treatment due to the fact that I am considered contagious.
My manger is not very pleased with this situation.
The worst part is I am trying to pack to move to VA.
It is painful to wash a dish. I have no strength to pack a
box of my belongings. I an normally “it was done yesterday”
type person. I am now 2 weeks behind on my schedule. I have
to see the doctor again on Monday before they will release
me to go back to work. The rash is almost healed over, the
problem is the pain. The out break is on my right side and
back. Is there any thing I can do about the pain....I really
need to get back on schedule and try and make up some of the lost time here. Also can any one tell me when it would be
safe to be near my daughter who is 4 months pregnant. Any help would be much appreciated.
Sincerely
Anista

    • I have no medical advice- I just wanted to say I’m so sorry.

My grandmother had an outbreak of shingles while she was driving across country 15 years ago and she waited until she arrived at her destination to seek treatment. She had no idea what it was.

As a result of a 5 day delay in treatment she has permanent nerve damage and constant pain from the shingles.

So, I know it is so painful and trying to pack and move is really hard. Is there anyone who can come and help?
