I haven’t really joined the blog lifestyle yet, so here goes!  I enjoy reading them, but never knew quite what to say.

One thing I do know is that I am soooo ready for summer!  I live in Southcentral Alaska, and so most of our year consists of that cold, frozen white stuff that just rattles you down to your bones!

Even now, with the snow thawing and grass blades popping thier little yellow heads up (not green here yet!) it’s still got a frosty feel to it.

Does anyone else feel this way??  I just feel like a bear who has just crawled out of his cave and foraging for whatever a warmer life has to bring.

Well that’s it for my rambling for now!

    • I hope summer comes soon for you! I used to live in Sequim Washington and had a lot of neighbors from Alaska. Seems Sequim is a preferred retirement place from people up north. One of these days I’d love to see the Northern Lights. I have seen photos and they look beautiful. I bet you also enjoy those very long days during the summer time. even in Washington I remember it still being light outside at 10:00 or so in the evening.

    • I grew up in MI and not that it compares to Alaska but I get what you‘re saying. It is just so tiring.
I think it made me appreciate those surprise spring days even more.
