Yes I have been through many career changes in my life.  Starting out in 1977, as a single parent, servicing computers when a female computer technician was unheard of.  Moving up to management and being the first female to manage in the Digital Equipment Corporation (long gone) field service division.  Taking the normal transition to sales and marketing where I heard the money was made.  Surviving the many mergers: Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq, then Compaq and Hewlett Packard.  I have even dabbled in the Printing and Art business, being a partner in Essence Art (another long gone company) publishing and distributing African American Art, all the time regretting the time I did not spend with my children.

Today, re-married, I am the [Link Removed] I see hope return to their eyes.

Through it all I can say I have been blessed.  When women speak to me about what they perceive as big mistakes in their life, I always ask "but what was the good that came out of it?" Yes, because there is usually some good if you look deep enough; that wrong choice in marriage may have produced wonderful children and best of all adoring grandchildren.  That wrong choice in careers may have produced new friendships.  

So go deep, meditate on the blessings and see how everything works out for the good.  I have a friend whose favorite saying is "there's no testimony without a test".
