Listen ladies, I've been a fit person my entire life.  In my 20s, I was in great shape with amazing firm, 6 pack abs!  I have always worked out consistently with weights combined with cardio; however, as I approached my mid-30s, things changed drastically.  I no longer had my 6-pack abs and tight buttocks.

By the time I was 36; I began to struggle with my mid-section and saggy backside.  No matter how hard I worked out, still, I had no positive results.  It was very painful seeing my figure go from firm to flab!  But, what I had done differently in my 30's is that I began focusing more on cardio and utilized fewer weights.

Luckily, I re-discovered a very interesting fact.   When you're in your 20s, your metabolism is super fast; begins to slow down in your 30s; crawling at 40+ and   extremely slugglish your 50s.

So, I've started a new exercise program a few months ago entitled: "Chalean Extreme".  This is a 90-day exercise program that consists of light and heavy weightlifting, cardio and stretching.  It is 5 days a week, 3 days of weights.  During my first week, I noticed visible results and immense strength.  This is also helpful with the peri-menopausal phase.  As you get older, it is very crucial you don't develop fat around the mid-section, this is dangerous and unhealthy.

I'm happier these days with a new improved physique and not to mention overall health.  When you're over 40, strength training is very beneficial and keeps you young!
