Staying out of the bars and off the streets

I am a firm believer in the saying, "Idle hands are the Devils' playground." For a while, it seemed my hands were firmly planted in his sandbox. I could not find my motivation, even though I was full of ideas. Maybe that was the problem, too many ideas. Plus, I was completely disorganized. I just felt worse and worse.

Last weekend, I finally did some organizing. I bought a new shelving unit for the basement work area and got all the candle stuff together. I cleaned off my work table. I sorted all the new scrapbook stamps into a box and organized the paper by color. I put together a shelf for the kitchen (and pinched myself doing it-ow!)  

Now I was ready! One of my to-do items was to start working on card-making. My stepdaughter’s 21st birthday is next week, so Monday I made her this card-

That was so much fun, I decided to try my hand at Valentine cards-

So now, I have a new addiction. But at least I am no longer American, Idle!
