Summer, Sun and Someone I Love

What a fantastic weekend!  The weather was glorious...sunny and not too warm...a rare combination in upstate NY!

My husband and I bought a boat at the end of summer last year and joined the Yacht Club at Keuka Lake so that we can keep the boat right at the lake instead of hauling it back and forth from home.  When we took it up on Friday, we stuck it into the water for a quick spin to be sure that everything was in working order.

The lake was smooth as butter and the air was warm as toast...what a combination!  Too bad we had to get back to town...huz was going to the LPGA with friends and i had Meals on Wheels to deliver and kids to cart here and there.

Saturday morning, huz and i got around and set off for a day at the lake.  Again, the water was calm and the air was warm.  

We stopped to visit a few friends.


Took some pictures of the beautiful area of the Finger Lakes.

Had a drink at a restaurant/bar on the water.

Boated across the water to another restaurant/bar on the other side of the lake.

I think this boat and the sun are going to bring my husband and i even closer together!
