I have always felt inspired upon watching the sunset or even getting up to watch the sun rise. I will have to admit the sunrises as beautiful as they are, can be difficult to get up for though, especially when the winter months start coming around. There have been plenty of times that I have gotten up around five in the morning though with my camera in hand to shoot some pictures, and yes, even in the dead of winter, get up and ready to go picture taking. I do detest winter and hate it more so with each passing year, but still the snow-covered land is pretty and makes for beautiful pictures.

So, when I started on zazzle, it wasn’t long before I was taking my pictures of sunsets and rises again. I have some of the ocean, my recent trip to Oak Island. The ocean is just great and coupled along with a sunset or sunrise, it is magnificent! Some of my best were my sunset shots up at Butler Park though. I also took some good ones along Point Park with the sun rising over the river. I designed them on some of my merchandise, making cards, mousepads, mugs, etc out of them.

The sunrise postage stamp I liked. I thought the sunrise over the river was even prettier than the sunset on the hill
I also did several nightshots up at the park that I just felt they were simply downright spooky sunset shots so I designed some halloween themed merchandise around them:

I think those have been my favorite recent sunset shots. I really thought they had a certain eerieness to them, which is just in time for this time of the year, halloween and they made a good gesture for that.

Then, there is my ones along the ocean from the Oak Island trip. Anytime, I go on a trip, I usually love to go where the water is. Photography gives you so many opportunities to travel, but even more so than travel, I have just got to move out close to the seacoast someday, no matter what the cost as I love the ocean

I also took some pictures one evening right outside my house just as the sun was setting that I thought turned out very well. They were good, a little dark, in fact , almost like the ones that have the halloween touch to them, but I liked them all. Sunsets are so relaxing and when I go out to watch them or take pictures, I feel that is my time for being close to God.
