First of all, Yana—-Can you believe I figured out how to “blog“!  I just needed some gentle encouragement from my six new friends!

For everyone out there who is part of this website (or whatever it’s called—I feel OLD trying to keep up with the terminology), make the TIME to connect with others who live within driving distance of you.  (Of course, Cheryl today puts everyone to shame because she drove all the way from Phoenix to get together with us!)

We were invited by the “Chocolatier” (and, BTW, her chocolates are REALLY good—especially her Mocha/Dark Chocolate truffle!) to get together because she was coming into Los Angeles.  It sounded like fun so I made the time and the commitment to meet her and anyone else showing up for lunch.  We had SUCH a good time!  We sat in El Torito for 5 hours and talked about ALL sorts of things.  It was SOOO fun to share, laugh, and create friendships with women my age.

Thank you Cynthia, for setting this up!  I can’t wait to see you all again and hopefully more of us in this area will make it next time.  Friendships are so important to keep balance in life and I find so often, women have a hard time setting time aside for themselves.  I felt refreshed and rejuvenated coming home and its because of the six of you.

Thanks for showing up!  Looking forward to more fun times like today.  (And by the way, I’d love to add you all since I only have five other friends.estatic)

    • How awesome! I’m glad you all had a great time. We have encouraged Cynthia to post pictures, we can’t wait to see them. I’m from California originally (I live in Louisiana now) and I wished I could have flown in for the fun.
I have had Cynthia’s chocolates and they are fabulous! I’ve also sent them as a present. YUM!
Some of us are getting together in May in New Orleans, we are so excited. There appears to be 10 of us, we are going to paint the Crescent City red!
Reading your blog has really got me excited! Thanks for sharing.

    • You know what impressed me about the “Chocolatier” is that she just set it up and then we showed up.  I think sometimes we get so busy with life that we wait for everything to be perfectly aligned and then nothing happens.  Chocolatier decided on a date, time and place and that made it easy to focus on scheduling and deciding.  I almost think nowadays you have to do things that way or it just won’t ever happen.  SOOOO . . . cindylouwho . . . when are you going to set up a time for you to connect with the Eastern crowd? estatic  I’d love to hear how it goes.

    • Inakika—-I’m glad you‘re excited because it really was a lot of fun and so relaxing.  You know how sometimes when you‘re meeting other women, you‘re not sure how to dress, what to expect etc.?  (Does anyone feel that way?) Anyway, it was so fun, down-to-earth, and real.  I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend a beautiful, warm So.Cal day.  Have fun!  I hope you blog about it after you paint the town red!

    • Oh, I will. And I will have lots of pictures to post.
Some may be grainy, depending on the amount of alcohol consumed! LOL!

    • Inakika—-LOL is right!  Grainy!—-don’t you mean blurred, tilted, indistinguishable?   HAVE FUN!  I want to visit New Orleans some day.  It sounds like a really fun place to go.  I’ll have to put that on my list of places I want to travel to.  When I do, I’ll have to look you up. (So I have a professional travel guide).
