This week is Mercedes Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week and tonight we attended the Julia Clancey show. The Spring collection of this hot, new designer is sexy, beachy, edgy and feminine. Long flowing fabric in peach, white, coral and turquoise characterize the line and the makeup was the perfect compliment. Hank Hoffman, Smashbox Makeup artist gave us the scoop on the look for the show.  

“Think beachy Bianca Jagger,” Hoffman said to me backstage as he put the finishing touches on his model. The look for the show was a monochromatic (translation; all one color) with everything soft and peachy. Eyes were soft with lots mascara and cheeks were done witha peach contour. Eyelids, cheekbones and lips were high shine and glistening and overall the look was, natural, fresh, and glamourous. We can’t wait for Spring and this collection was fab. Don’t worry, we had our eyes peeled for celebs at the show but didn’t see anyone we recognized.Oh well, the show was fabulous!
