Phew! Sigh. Wow. 
Totally stuff that everyone else has gone through in one form or another, but me? I’m a wimp about these things. But it’s okay now, and I’m back.
Thank you, Fab40 sisters, for all your kind and loving comments.
It was a health scare. And it was nothing compared to what many of the women here have experienced. Although I’m still in the midst of going to doctors and hoping my health insurance will behave, I’m over being frightened. And I know I’m going to be around for another, oh let’s say, 30 years more or less.
Here’s what I learned:
What Didn't Help
Fear didn’t help.
Becoming addicted to reality TV didn’t help.
Panic-dialing (allowing panic to possess me, like hunger possessing a zombie, then calling people) doesn’t help and only upsets family and friends.
What Did Help
Meditation
Dancing to ‘70s funk and disco (with my bird, who has always loved to dance - the cat, not so much).
Reading Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now.”
Actually doing what the doctor suggested. (I totally prefer vibrational therapy, Edgar Cayce castor oil therapy, and talking-to-your-body type stuff, but in this case I decided to actually follow medical advice.)
Staying out of my thoughts, or at least if a thought came up, being aware of it and not getting lost in it.
Realizing that nothing on this planet can calm my mental state except spirituality. Surrendering to this. Surrendering to the “is-ness” of the present moment.
So thank you all for being there, and I hope I can be there for you!

Glad you‘re back! I hope your health issues turn out to be minor and your health insurance carrier is not a pain.
Thank you - you all make me feel so ... enveloped in warmth and caring. I’ve missed you, too. My energy is back up, and I so appreciate all your good wishes. I still have 2 more “procedures“, but the fear is gone because they did a CAT scan, so I know what’s going on. (Some “Thing” they have to take out.) The worst is when you don’t know what’s going on, then your mind (well, my mind anyway)starts whirling around with all kinds of dramatic and catastrophic thoughts.

No matter what happens with the next 2 procedures - yes, it’s a “thing” they‘re taking out, honestly, I don’t even want to know anything more than that. Let them do what they do, and I’m totally okay with it - but I digress - no matter what happens, words can’t describe how deeply grateful I am to have you as my friends. Cyberspace is different than face2face, but the truth is, I feel your spirits, your souls, just as I would feel someone sitting across the table.
