Last week I went into my doctor. Earlier in the week, he had given me a prescription for what I thought was pink eye. My eye was red and HURT! My doctor took one look at my eye and told me to go to an eye doctor right away. So I made an appt and was able to get in the same day because of my symptoms.
It turned out that my problem was NOT pink eye, it was an infection of the cornea. He explained that I was lucky, my infection was bad, my cornea was “battered.” I smiled and agreed and he said that if I had put in my contact again, I might go blind. That woke me up!

So this week I have been putting in drops every hour. What I have learned from this is not to wear my contacts all the time. The doctor said that swimming or sleeping with contacts in dangerous. I did neither, but somehow got the infection. Today I see the doctor again, so I am crossing my fingers that all is well! : )
