It’s the day after Christmas and I’m feeling pretty lazy.  I will have to say this year’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was very nice.  I was really dreading it being the last two have been awful.  Two years ago was when my mother was about to die and she did pass away on December 28th. Last year we were dealing for the first time with my oldest son’s drug addiction.  It was a shock and very scary too.  So....to be honest I was afraid of what unknowns would happen this year.  But surprisingly...there were none.  I have prayed and had people praying for an uneventful Christmas with no drama and I got it.  Thank you God.

The time we spent with family was great.  We all actually got along, laughed, told funny stories about other family members who has passed on, and had some awesome food.

I’m so grateful for having a nice Christmas...that alone is the best gift.  Now to hope and pray for a much better year.  I’m hoping and praying that 2012 will be prosperous, adventure filled, and healthy year!!

    • I am so glad you enjoyed it. Ours was just wonderful, quiet, low key. Ryan played his new guitar and ukelele all day and I cooked and baked and everyone just sat around visiting with our aunt and uncle who came over to spend the day with us. A couple of the kids friends stopped over....I love that and one of our oldest friends stopped over with a bottle of homeade wine he has had fermenting since 2009..Oh my goodness it was absolutely delicious...nice and fruity with just the right amount of sweetness but still a little tart. Gorgeous! I have such a wonderful day!

    • I’m glad you had a wonderful Christmas Mary!

This was the first Christmas is many years that I spent with a member of my family.  My oldest brother came over on Christmas Day and spent the night.  It was a very low-key day.  We had a big breakfast and then dinner around 5 p.m.  Spent most of the day preparing food but also talking to him and bonding.  We watched a movie and he brought over a trance video for us to watch.  Very low-key.  It was really nice and the boys enjoyed having their uncle over. estatic
