“Ever heard of the gentle giant syndrome?”

Probably not! But do know someone in your life, who really is a giant in some way? A giant among women? I am not just talking about women who are physically big, but yes, in case you are wondering, I am including them also.

I am writing about those women who have huge ideas, humungous families, gigantic hearts, tremendous dreams, infinite hope, and so on.

Perhaps you know one such giant in your life? My guess is that you probably know more than one!

“Did I forget to add the word gentle?”

Giant does not necessarily mean rough, crude or vulgar. Many times, the larger a woman actually is, or becomes in whatever way, the more gentle that person’s soul seems to be. The gentleness is often reflected, in her amazing tender words and deeds.

Look at all of the female giants that you know!

There is probably not even one of them who presents a threat to you, in any way, shape or form. In fact, these women are more than likely the ones who you turn to, when you feel the need to speak with someone about something important, or the aspects of your life that other women might regard as unimportant.

They are leaders, even if outwardly that may not appear to be the case.

Remember the big hair days? A lot of women will remember them very well! Hairdressers knew that even petite women liked big hairdos. Some of those hairdos were gigantic! It proved that even tiny women liked to be giants.

Search your own soul and see if you too, are a gentle giant. You probably are, even if you have never thought seriously about it.

More than likely, you go one step beyond everyone else in some way.

Perhaps you open your life to include some of those who others turn away from? Maybe you are the kind of person who gives everyone the best hugs, in the whole world?

Maybe you are a giant, in the way your write?

Never be afraid to be a gentle giant. The gentler you are, the better.

You will be respected among women because of your giant steps in history. So what if you have big feet! The larger your hands are, the more they can hold.

Don’t you just love your new status as a gentle giant?

Oh, and guess what! It is all right to be part of the gentle giant syndrome, now that you know what it is! Simply stand tall and be the gentle giant you were meant to be!

Keep on taking giant steps!

    • Rightly or wrongly, I consider myself (and my writing, I guess) to fit your definition of giant.

It’s the ‘gentle’ part I’m having a hard time getting my head around. I recognize, in myself, gentle moments, but I actually consider myself more coarse than gentle. Or maybe I’m just turning too critical an eye?

I’ll have to think more on this, I guess. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Hey there feathermaye,

I have recently written an article on this very topic. You might find it helpful.

It may be that you are being overly critical. Sometimes we become that way, if we are always around overly critical people too.

Underneath, I suspect that you are a gentle giant or you would not be concerned about it.

Have a fantastic day and keep on doing your gentle giant thing!

P.S. If you want an invitation to write on that site, I can send you one. I just need an e-mail address.
