This morning as I was making coffee the Hubby brought in 12 wrapped presents for me. My eyes lit up with excitement! We usally don’t do alot for Valentines Day. He wanted me to open them right away. Of course I did.
Ladies he was so tickled with himself. He said he thought all week about what to get me. Wanted me to know how much he appreciated me.
Well all excited I start opening the gifts. I recieved 10 pair of flannel lounge pants, 10 shirts that match them. A set of new sheets, and the material(all different shades of purple) and batting to make a new quilt.
I thought to myself for a second that the romance was dead, after all we are almost at 30 years marriage. Than I thought to myself the man knows everything about me. He knows I love to wonder around the house in lounge clothes. He listened when I complained I need to get extended size sheets. He heard me say I wanted to start quilting again.
Than it hit me like a ton of bricks. The man loves me and truely cares for me. What a thoughtful gift.
To me the romance isn’t dead, it is maturing just as we are!
I hope you all have a wonderful day today!
