Massage therapy for Mother’s Day has become increasingly popular in the last five years, with the public changing their perception of massage and it’s many benefits.

Michele Rossignol, Licensed massage therapist from Ingleside, Texas states that, ‘massage has become so much more than just something you do because it feels wonderful, it is seen as an effective tool used by Chiropractors, Obstetricians, Orthopedic physicians, Podiatrists, and Pain Management Specialists. They are recommending massage as a way for their patients to heal from injuries, keep scar tissue formation to a minimum, decrease stress, and increase range of motion.” Massage has a host of therapeutic benefits.1

Many massage therapists will include a special treat in their Mother’s Day package, such as a foot reflexology treatment or bamboo/hot stone massage. Who wouldn’t love a gift like that!

Richter,of Ingleside, Texas, a yoga and surfing enthusiast, has stated that, ‘massage therapy has helped me feel better, I have an increase in my  range of motion, and have seen decreased pain from injuries. ’ Rebekah receives one massage per week from Kia Ora Massage & Bodywork in Sinton, Tx.2  

Just look at any search engine and type in the words ‘mother’s day massage’ and you will find a deluge of therapists and spas offering specials during this time. Many therapists will include a special treat in their Mom’s Day package, such as Bamboo massage, or a foot reflexology treatment included with the traditional Swedish massage.

Always ask if your therapists is Licensed with the state, and what type of gift packages are available. Massage therapy is a wonderful way to say, “Thank you and I love you“!
