Everyone today, it seems, want to be wealthy. Matter of fact, so many people are chasing after money and wealth, they are neglecting themselves, loved ones, and basic enjoyment in life. Now I have nothing again wealth or having lots of money. But when all common sense or rhyme-and-reason is thrown out the window, then I have an opinion. The Encarta Dictionary defines wealth as a huge amount of money, abundance, assets, and well-being.  I believe, wealth can be defined as monetary, physical, emotional, and spiritual blessings.  In other words, the journey to creating wealth can be a holistic experience, if you allow it.

The key to building or creating anything in life is having a balance. The journey doesn’t have to be rushed, immediate, or hurried. It can be accumulative, nurtured, and grown. Have you ever sat down to think about your financial vision? Have you thought about your wealth goals and how you plan to obtain them?  It takes time and planning. Part of the journey process is taking the time to review and evaluate your life, goals, strengths, and weaknesses. And to contemplate the lifestyle you wish to create. In your planning, be sure to be specific about what you want to achieve.  Then do the necessary actions and task that line up with your goals.

But the most important part of the journey, start thinking and acting like the wealthy person you want to be.  I'm not saying you should walk around lying to yourself and others. No, just start changing the way you think and behave. Get rid of the poverty or "I'm always broke" mindset. Surround yourself with people that have similar goals, that are positive, and that support you in reaching your vision. How in the world do you expect to get the wealth you want if you have the same attitude, mentality, and linger in the same negative environment? Also, when I talk about wealth, I'm not just talking about money.  I'm talking about having balance, peace, and lacking nothing.

Below are some steps to help you on your journey to create wealth.

• Believe you are precious enough to attain wealth.
• Have someone to keep you accountable on your journey to create wealth.
• Get rid of anxiety and worry when you think of money.
• Have a strategic plan of action to reach each goal.
• Get organized and have systems in place to realize your vision.
• Evaluate, periodically, if your plan is working for you – if not, why not?
• Adjust your mindset, habits, and spending to reach your financial goal.
• Determine how much time and energy you will devote to your dream.

The journey to create wealth is yours to define. Review your plan regularly; be willing to make adjustments. Take ownership of it. If you need help, outside expertise or accountability – get it!  Do not make excuses.  Wealth really can be yours.
