I use to enjoy seeing the cartoons where you would  

see on a character .. a little angel on one side

and a little devil on the other side.

I use to think to myself.. why is it that the little  

devil has the louder voice.. ?  

WHy is it what the devil says seems so much more attractive?

I believe the answer is because the reward for doing good

is so much more valuable and worthwhile then the reward

for doing bad or evil.

Sometimes when we hear the good angel telling us what

we should do .. how we should behave..the right thing

..it comes as an inconvenience to our normal way..

it challenges us to let go of what we are doing and

do something different..

Sometimes we prefer the wrong way ..and not what our

angel .. our conscience tells us is right. And so

we do things so we cannot hear our angel WE busy ourselves

and surround us with voices that tell us our wrong is

right..

IT’s hard to hear the good angel telling our conscience

the right thing to do if we are resolved to keep  

doing wrong. .

I know when my pride gets in the way . .It is  the devil

.. and while his voice is strong..there is the still the

voice of right in my conscience telling me what to do..

I am praying to have the strength to listen more  

to the quiet angel of goodness rather then to the loud

mouth devil who says it’s ok to do the wrong.

Joy
