Love it

We have been in our new home for a little over a week.  We moved from the mountain back to the suburbs of Northern Virginia just like I wanted!

The move went fairly well.  We ran out of room even though we had two BIG U-hauls.  My hubby had to make two trips to his mom to store some more of our stuff.

My nephew came over and helped us out for several days and some of Jason’s friends came over and helped us out as well.  Without them, there’s no way we could have moved all our stuff.

Unfortunately both my husband and I were sick with colds or allergies but we managed to get through it.

For the FIRST time in our lives, we live in a neighborhood that has LOTS of kids which is GREAT for my boys.  There are actually kids at the bus stop.  Kyle gets to sleep in longer and he doesn’t have to be at the bus stop until an hour later than usual.  The brand new school is about a mile from where we live.

We can WALK to the stores and church.  It’s so wonderful to be so close to everything again.

AND the best part, I’m CLOSER to work.  It was taking me TWO hours to get to work in the mornings.  Now it takes me a little bit over an hour to get to work but it has taken me as little as 45 minutes to get home in the evenings.

Now that this move is over, we can turn our attention to finding FULL TIME jobs.  I hope both of us can find them soon.  Our bills are higher here, gas is higher, food is higher, you get the picture.

Our house is smaller than our previous house but it’s still nice overall.  It has a deck, sun room, and a finished basement which we didn’t have before.  The neighborhood itself is really nice as well.  We are two miles from the Interstate.

I’m happy to be back in Northern VA.

Love it
