Love it

I can’t believe I have 4 weeks left in my first semester of nursing school. This has been a very intense learning experience. they say the first semester is the hardest and that’s where they weed out those who won’t be able to make it. I’m carrying an A average so far  but it’s been a big time commitment.

Has anyone else given thought to going back to school for a degree or to further your education? If so, what have you thought about?

    • Wow!  You‘re going to be a nurse before you know it.

A couple years ago I looked into going back to school.  I was thinking about doing something like being a dietician.  But, there were almost no classes that I could take at the nearest community college and very little online, so after one semester it would have meant moving, finding a new job etc etc.  Plus the cost is a big issue.  I decided I just didn’t want to do it that bad.

    • Congrats on your A average!

At this time I don’t have a desire to go back to school.  I just lack the energy and motivation to do it plus I have 2 young kids at home.

Are you full time or part time?

      Diane

    • Way to go!heartheartheartheart

I am changing careers but I know I couldn’t go back to a regular school. I’ve been a teacher for 14 years and my place is definitly in front of a classroom. I am however registered as a student in the Permaculture University. There are no fix classes or program; everybody, with the help of a tutor, builds their own personnal project according to their fields of knowledge and interests and the permaculture spirit of course! When you and your tutor think you are ready, your project is evaluated by a commity that decides if you have learned enough to be accredited your diploma and teach or pratice permaculture without supervision. It’s a very interesting concept so far.

I have an Associate Degree in Medical Assistant..worked as one for 12 years, then had health problems through my late 30’s and 40’s...so as it stands I may just take a class now and then in floral design or garden design.
