I smell smoke. Cigarette smoke, to be more specific. It started a few months ago, first just in my car, then in my office, now it’s pretty much everywhere! I smell it 30-40% of the time. I have never smoked,no one at work smokes. No one has ever smoked in my car. I am beginning to wonder if I am crazy, and if I’m not this my drive me there!

I’ve done a little internet research and keep coming up with the same two explanations: sinus infection, or brain tumor. I also noted that a couple of others experiencing the same thing were on thyroid medication.

Has anyone on this site experienced this?

    • How very odd. I’ve heard of “phantom smells” before, but since I’ve never experienced them I don’t know anything about it.

Even if it’s as simple as a sinus infection, you may want to schedule an appointment with your doctor.

And how frustrating, too! Why couldn’t you be smelling fresh-roasted coffee, or roses, or something? ;)

      Keep us posted, Cindy!
