The Wedding
First and foremost I would like to pray for spiritual understanding for whoever reads this Lord help us to understand this with Wisdom and understanding that comes from you, and is granted to those who ask and believe. Open our eyes and ears to see and hear what the Spirit is saying. Thank you, Amen
Matthew 22
The king gave a marriage feast for his son, and sent his servants out to call those invited guest, to come but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants saying: Tell those who are invited I have made ready my dinner, my oxen and the fatted calves, and everything is ready. Come to the marriage feast. But they made light of it and went off, one to his farm, another to his business. While the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them . The king was angry and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city, Then he said to his servants, "The wedding is ready, but those invited were not worthy, Go therefore to the highways and the byways and invite all who you see to the wedding feast as many as you find, both good and bad, so the wedding hall was filled.  But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw a man who had no wedding garment and he said, Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness,  there men will weep and gnash their teeth.  For many are called and few are chosen.

I was asked, do you think the king was to harsh? My first response was yes a little, maybe. But in perspective the king has told us about this wedding, (we as believers are the bride, we are supposed to be getting ready???), the wedding garment I think is putting on Jesus Christ and this is spiritually speaking, seen by the king. If we can not die to our flesh and put on Christ the king will see this and we will be cast into the outer darkness. The king is serious we need to be serious and look he has given those invited guest how many chances to come? But we are too busy and take this lightly and go about our everyday business because we think this is what is important. NOT at all. We need to get our priorities straight and be about getting ready. The getting ready is to die daily or sometimes moment by moment to what the flesh wants and treat our neighbors with love and kindness. God IS love and if we can't love our neighbors we need to ask God to give us his love for those neighbors. He gives us those things we lack, all we have to do is ask. And believe you me sometimes I find it very hard to love anyone. Life is hard or so I think, but I am given a choice and am invited. So are you, are you coming to the wedding feast or will you be going to work? Or school? Do you have a wedding garment? If this does not make since to you ask God to minister the truth to you and I promise you he will make it crystal clear what he is talking about.
This life here is so darn short. What if we get to the end and there is nothing because we have chosen to turn a deaf ear. Jesus said when he left I go to prepare a place for you, if it were not so I would not say so. Jesus can not lie and there is a place prepared for us who believe what God has said. It is time to get serious and be about our Fathers business and get ready for our wedding. It is a commin.
When an unkind word comes to me or someone treats me unkind, boy I want to give it right back to them. My motto was "Hurt me, I'll hurt you back twice as bad" How pathetic is that? I am to turn my cheek. You know how hard that is? It's my flesh, my pride that I must die to and say ok I am not going to react the way I always do and do it God's way and pray for my enemies those who hurt and despitefully use me, and get offended and be angry and sit and think about what so and so did and what I am going to say to them if I get an opportunity. Well the opportunity I get is to do it again God's way. Each time I do this it becomes easier and to those looking in it may appear I am the weak one BUT you know how hard it is to NOT react the way I want to? That is very hard but not impossible. I am building spiritual muscles. Muscles that you and I can not see but the king can.  (This is dieing to my flesh, what I want to do, how I want to react)
