Dear family and friends,
Christmas is tight this year. With the market crash, my 401-K has returned to its 1997 level.
I will be making bedroom slippers for everyone as gifts. I hope you’ll agree that it’s a splendid idea and should you wish to do the same for some of your Christmas gifts, I’ve included the instructions below:
You’ll need four maxi pads for each pair of slippers. Lay two of them out flat. Wrap a single pad around the toe area of each flat pad to form the top of the slipper. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire: silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.
Maxi slippers are:
Soft and Hygienic
Non-slip grip strips on the soles
Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
No more bending over to mop up spills
Disposable and biodegradable
Environmentally safe
Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light and Get out the Sand Bags.
I’ve included a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself. Let me know which size you’d like me to make for you.

I’m slap happy cindylouwho....fricken slap happy. I am so sleepy I can hardly see to type.
Well..I’m making those bedroom slippers..for real. For every single one of my co-workers. I always try to make something for them each year at Christmas. I went to Michaels tonight and they didn’t have my clear round ball glass ornaments. I wanted to paint each one.
Gotta go to bed....
What a great idea for an elephant gift. Since my procedure, I have tons of them left. Perhaps I will add some sparkly and Chinese word on them. 
That is a GREAT idea Chinadoll. Now I am wishing we still ‘did’ Christmas, just so I could bless some folks with hearty laughter. (It is good medicine ya know.) And, I tell ya - I have had my share here thanks to Mary!

My retirement is gone, so yeah I’m with you on ‘tight.’ Good for you making gifts.
We‘re not exchanging gifts this year. None of the family. Everyone is experiencing difficult times. My continuing holiday contribution will be the official photographer. I then create a Christmas family web page of all the pictures. I also make mini photo albums for each family member with pictures taken throughout the year.
This Christmas instead of attending church on Christmas Day, I’ll also be attending on Christmas Eve. I need all the pray and cheering up that I can muster at this time.
