It has been some time since I was on and really miss all my friends!  As you all know our son Steve had been in the auto accident and thank the dear Lord survived but has had some neck issues.  It seems all is progressing with that, but he is still experiencing stiffness and this will probably be an on-going thing for a while as he has developed arthritis in the vertebral discs.  I hug him every day and say a prayer.

He has taken over the payments on my Honda, so it is his now.  The challenge will be to find another vehicle for me that will be within my price range, as I have not been able to get out as much and really miss working at the nursery/farm.  The gardeners have been really understanding and told me to come in whenever I can.  It is a good thing I was able to put in my necessary time.  Today Bob is taking me out for breakfast and then on to looking around at some local dealerships...what a guy!

Two weekends ago, we traveled to my parents place for a long visit with my mom and dad...my sister and her husband came in and we shared a wonderful few days together...laughing, telling stories, fishing at the lake, cooking together and toasting our health.  As you may or may not know, my sister is living with MS, and having a difficult time right now.  She is starting a new drug that she must inject every day, and not to mention experiencing some major hormone changes..crying every day, full of anxiety and depression..she is 46, and starting menopause, so it is a double whammy.  We talk every day on the phone, but I wish I could hug her every day.

Last week was a very bad week for me physically..my fibro had me in and out of bed the whole week, so needless to say I slept a lot.  The one good thing was this past weekend, I felt well enough to head to the Finger Lakes with two very special couples..the six of us had an amazing time and since I finally figured out how to re-size pics..I can start posting some.

When we got home on Sunday, there was a phone message for me.  My dear sweet neighbor friend was rushed to the hospital with double pneumonia and is currently in the ICU on a respirator.  She is only 56 and does deal with Lupus and a host of other health issues.  I am making a chicken stew for her husband and her father (who lives with them) today and will tend to her outside garden as we both share the love of gardening.  Please say lots of prayers for Andrea!

Bob has a few days off this week, and he is starting the renovation of the basement..will take a long time, but he is very excited about eventually having his “man” space.

We have a busy couple of weeks coming up..family parties, a day at the seashore and of course Labor day weekend will be here soon.

I pray all of my friends are happy, healthy and enjoying their summer.  Let me know what you have been up to and what your Labor day plans are.

Love you all!!  xoxo

    • Marya, so glad to hear your son is progressing well and yes he has a ways to go but trust and believe God is with him every step of the way and he is going to make it! I know you’ll find something in the price range you‘re looking for in a vehicle have faith my friend. I’m doing well just dealing with a few life issues myself but it’s nothing my (FATHER) in heaven can’t handle for He is who fights my battles for me. I had a ball in Cali last week and looking froward to going back next year. Not looking forward to our cold season that is slowly approaching lol, I hate winter.
My g-baby will be going to pre-school next month I have mixed emotions about it lol, but I know this is for her good just having a hard time letting go lol. Well I hope your day is filled with all of God’s blessings.

    • Mary I’m glad your son is doing better. I know it was a very frightening thing for your family when he had his accident. I’m very sorry to hear about your sister’s illness and the onset of perimenopause in the midst of it and also sorry to hear about your neighbor. You are an angel to your family and friends. You‘re there to help friends and family, putting your fibro and the pain that brings on completely on the back burner. Blessings to you and your family, Mary.heart
