Be of good cheer. Do not think of today’s failures, but of the
success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult
task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy
in overcoming obstacles.

 —Helen Keller (1880-1968) American Writer

This quote can be applied to so many things in my life. Here are some of the things I am going to apply it to:
My own personal home repair handywoman/contractor
My medical future/diet/fitness
My attempts at being a full time Domestic Goddess (harder than you think!)
Slowing down and not hydroplaning thru life.

Do you have anything this could be applied to? Tell me about it.

    • Menopause - The discomfort is only for today; there will be a tomorrow when the hormones will balance and it will all come to an end.

Hawaii - Even though there are so many things about living here that I don’t like, for now I can go to the beach, eat fresh Hawaiian fish, pick papayas off my trees; in other words I can focus on what I do like about it and enjoy it now while we‘re still here.

Work limitations - I’m not able to get the tools and ingredients here to expand my line and make my work easier while being on Maui without great expense. But as my business partner says, if we can make it here with the limitations we have to overcomes we will have the inner strength and the fortitude to thrive on the mainland

Weight - I remeber my mother in her 40’s. She was chubby for the first time in her life. As she has aged, her body has gotten smaller and she’s very comfortable in her skin. If I take after her, I have something to look forward to.

    • I am looking forward to a tomorrow with no pain, today I must endure it, but there are promises for tomorrow, so I’m in a hurry to get thru my today’s.

Helen Keller left a wealth of inspiration through her many challenges.
