The eclipse of gaia, moon and sun is Tonite at 10:23 pm EST .
Tuesday night, July 21, brings us the Solar Eclipse (a New Moon) in Cancer. Since it is the very last degree of Cancer, it is considered very powerful and since it is a New Moon the greater part of this "Power" is in it's ability to attract our desires.

A solar eclipse happens only during a New Moon and when the Moon is positioned between the Sun and the Earth blocking the light from passing through. Consistent with New Moons, solar eclipses symbolically mark a time of new beginnings. This may be particularly true of this one falling in the tenacious and pushy sign of Cancer. The Moon and Cancer belong together symbolizing the strength of the feminine, and the power of cycles and evolutionary change. Think of the power of water beating on a rock, a river carving out the Grand Canyon. This is the power and strength of Cancer.

No matter where the eclipse falls in our charts and no matter what events appear to be associated with it, there is one gift we can all give ourselves. We can learn to not play victim to events and circumstances. Like Cancer we can learn to accept change as inevitable and expect every change to bring opportunities. We can learn to loosen our grip on our emotional expectations. We can set goals, but let go of the attachment to having a specific outcome at a specific time. We can ‘give birth’ to ourselves - planning and creating the conditions that will nurture the person we want to be. Set your intentions by the dark of the Moon and like an expectant parent, be patient while your creation unfolds.

This is a very good time to send your prayers, meditations and visualizations for positive creation for yourself and for humanity. I like to write my “crap” down on a piece of paper on the full moon and then burn it or tear it up, giving it all up to the universe - very cleansing! I’ll be doing just that tonite. oxo
