I received such a great response to my post about co-parenting during divorce, I decided to turn it into a show topic. And I think I found one of the best experts on the subject to join me. When her marriage fell apart Deesha Philyaw figured out how effetely co-parent her children with her former husband. Deesha says 'despite the problems that ended our marriage, we have managed to establish a successful, congenial co-parenting relationship". So much so that they co-founded co-parenting 101 a resource for parents who are trying to co-parents with an ex spouse. Philyaw will discuss this topic on What Now? With Laurie Giles Tuesday March 23 on  [Link Removed] at 4:00 pm EST 3pm CST.

    • Ya know, sadly I was the child of a not so friendly divorce.

Honestly, I do not think anyone knows how to handle it until it happens to them.

I am so happy for those kids whose parents can co-parent wisely during this transition, but not all can no matter how many books they read or people they listen to.

I can still vividly remember the day my dad walked out. I was 14.

Kudos to the parents who have the ability to handle it with care.
