So in my pursuit of trying to get caught up on my yearly exams I decided to pick the easiest one since I need new contacts. I am sitting at the computer looking on the insurance website and it wanted info off of my insurance card. So la di da me picks up my card and looks at the numbers only to see a big blur. Now mind you I was wearing my glasses which I need to see pretty much my hand in front of my face or beyond. My eye doctor in MI warned me that this day would come. Well I think it has arrived!!!

I crossed that threshold about 3 years back. I also wear contacts to correct nearsightedness. I did the drug store readers for a while, but I am terrible at keeping glasses near me....I ended up having about 15 pairs that I had stashed all about my house and office!!  THEN...the reading issue got worse! Now I needed to buy 15 more pair of even stronger readers...or go see the eye doc!

He explained that they can do what is called a mono-vision correction...one eye is corrected for distance and the other eye is corrected for reading....it’s up to your brain to figure it out!!  Well....it took a good solid year of adjustments for MY brain to figure it out...but low and behold...it did! Now I see perfectly again...distance and reading. Was a struggle, but worth it in the end :)

Ask you eye doc about it!

    • Hey girl,

It’s cool though, you can still look sexy. The bifocals of today blend in there is NO line that tells someone looking at you that you have bifocals on or that you can’t see your hand in front of your face!

      much love
      Donna

p.s. go ahead be sexy and see!

    • Again, being a big Costco fan, they have cool and reasonable priced frame.  All you need is a prescription.
