Genital yeast infection, scientifically known as candidiasis, is a common infection on women. While yeast naturally exists in the female reproductive organ, overgrowth of these bacteria spells an itchy and malodorous trouble. Overgrowth happens when there is hormonal imbalance, usually when excessive warmth traps in moisture. Since it is a common occurrence, it is easy to just shrug it off. However, a “simple yeast infection” is not just “simple” if it becomes untreated yeast infection.
