I just heard back from the doc. She is out of surgery, but still asleep. she had a full tear in her left ACL, she also tore her miniscus, and moderate arthritis.
And on top of all that, she has a urinary tract infection. He asked me if I noticed her urine smelling, I never noticed a thing! I feel so bad!! Poor baby!! He is sending her home with antibiotics as well. He xray’d the other knee, he said it is not as bad as the left but does have some swelling. I will take care of it in a few months, let her heal with this one first.
I can call around 7:30 to see if she is starting to wake up so we can go get her. Whew!
I forgot to mention in my other blog, that while we were there waiting for her, another dog came up to her, sniffing each other, then all of a sudden the other dog attacked her!! I was ready to FLIP on the owner!! Thank God she wasnt hurt, just shaken up. After that she climbed up on the bench and sat with my daughter and I! LOl Poor thing! 
Good to hear she came thru the surgery ok and I bet she can’t wait to go home and relax with her loved ones. Sounds like shes been thru alot already.

Yeah Morgan! Poor thing, I too would have been really upset having another dog attack her at the vet. At least this is behind her.
I know how awful it is to have another dog(s) attack your dog. I was walking my Afghan on the beach on the leash like your supposed to and this guy had 2 dogs running loose and playing in the water. As we approached they ran to her and starting growling and raising cane with her. Poor baby jumped so high AND hard that she came out of her collar. That day I did go off on that guy!
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! all is well I should go hunt that other dog down badddddddddddd dog lol.

Angel, I’m glad you gave that man a piece of your mind. There was an Afghan at the vet while we were there. That is one beautiful breed of dog! That beauty just strutted her way into the door. Fur swaying in the breeze and all. Soo cute!

Term, I’m so glad to hear your baby came through the surgery okay. I hope you have as good of luck as I do getting Cozmo to take meds, he actually seems to like them! I started him on a supplement too, Joint Care level 3,from Dr.s Foster and Smith. See what your vet recommends for Morgan.

I also asked the surgeon about the procedure your Cozmo had. He said that is one of the newest procedure they are doing. But unfortunately he doesnt do it. He said he would recommend someone to me who is in Denver. LOL Yea right, Ohio to Denver!! LOL
haha, Term! somehow that really surprises me that it’s one of the newest procedures. I never imagine Emporia being on the cutting edge of anything! But it seems to be working.
No, we wouldn’t be candidates for a big travel like that either. 
Yay...that is great news! I’m very happy for you and Morgan that the surgery went well. I know that is a huge relief for you.
Was thinking and talking about Morgan today to my coworkers. They and I were all pulling for her!! So glad she’s come through surgery okay!!
What the hell was that other dog’s owner thinking??? Hope at least he/she apologized.

Thanks everyone. She’s home now. Seems to be in a lot of pain, but she is dealing with it. Here’s a pic.

Hey, Term, how’s your baby doing? I’ve been thinking about her. Cozmo has injured his leg, somehow, but it doesn’t look serious-kind of a surface wound. I need to get him sheared. Do you have Morgan sheared?

Morgan is doing amazingly well. I cannot believe how fast she has bounced back. We are having a hard time keeping her down. She wants to walk walk walk!! LOL
She has developed a hot spot, I think it is from them shaving her and the chaffing. She keeps licking it and it is now sore and irritated. But other than that, she is doing great!!
What did Cozmo do to his leg? Is it the one he had surgery on?
I do not shear her. I have been told not to do that because their hair helps insulate them from the heat. Besides, we live in Ohio and it doesnt get extrememly hot here so it is not necessary.
