Well I’m very happy to say that Alex is doing great..He woke up this morning and he says he feels alot better and his color is back, yesterday he looked so pale. The only thing is that his throat hurts, but I told him that it’s from all the vomitting, but he’s already asking for something to eat, so thats a good sign, (because Alex is always eating)estatic.I told him I didn’t think it was a good idea, that he needs to start out slow..He drank all the gatorade last night, I kept checking in on him and he was tossing and turning, and one of the times I went to go check on him he was up at 4am and he couldn’t go back to sleep, so he watched t.v. for alittle bit and he eventually fell back asleep, around 5 or 5:30 am..
He’s still laying in bed, so it’s going to be a very laid back day for us both..Even though I hardly had any sleep, it doesn’t matter as long as I know that Alex is doing so much better, thats all that counts...
THANK YOU ALL for your thoughts and for caring so much and I know with you all praying for him and wishing him well, made ALOT of difference..I’m glad I have friends like you all, it means alot...I will keep you posted as the day goes by..

THANKS AGAIN TO YOU ALLestaticestaticestatic

Yes, I’m glad he’s doing good too..He’s even craving for a hamburger, but I told him NO, not anytime soon, so I going to give him some crackers or chicken broth..Thank you so much for your concern..
It makes me feel good to hear that I’m a good mom, people often tell me that I’m too over protected, that I need to cut the apron strings, but when it comes down to their well being I will be there no matter what..

      Thanks again...

    • Glad to hear he’s better.  He is ready to eat but his poor tummy isn’t..you‘re doing right with crackers and broth. Now he’d do well with some ginger ale as well. Ginger is great for helping the tummy heal. Good luck with him.

    • You were on my mind early this morning. I was listening to the news on the radio and there was a report about the flu.  Thank you for posting that he’s ok! Good thing it’s saturday - he can rest up during the weekend.

    • chocolatier: Yea, he’s doing good Thank God, he’s taking a nap, his throat is hurting, which has to do with his vomitting, that should pass soon. I also heard about that flu that is going around, it already hit San Antonio, hopefully it won’t come this way. He’s off today from work, so he can just take it easy..I am so grateful that you all care so much. And I will keep you all updated, but so far so goodestatic

I felt so bad for you and him when I first read your post last night- I had a flu bug for 2 1/2 days last year and it was awful. I’m so glad he feels better. And as for being a Mom- when it comes to our babies, it doesn’t matter how old they are. lol No such thing as over protective.

I felt awful for him and I was there by his side when he would be in the bathroom vomitting, he would tell me, (when he could talk)how can you stand here and be able to see me thru this, I told him “baby, this isn’t NOTHING compare to everything that I went to have you here“, and “I also told him, thats what moms are suppose to do , is be there for their kids“.. I’m so glad that he is doing good. I can’t imagne how you felt when you were sick? I told my boys that no matter where they are or how old they get, I will always be here for them for as long as they need me..

      Thanks for being there..
