I finally had a mammnogram (after having kids and breast feeding) since my last one in 1998.I get a call the next day to scehdule another one because the radiologist wants to see both breast again in a more close up pic. This one hurts! So now I get a letter in the mail that reads“Your recent exams shows an area that we would like to recheck in 6 monthes to verify stability” WTF! is what i have to say!tongue out Yes i haven’t had a mamm in quite awhile so things look some what different from my last one! I’m a rational person most of the time but this letter is not helping my pyshic level at all!My husband calming says “call my gyno Monday and see what he has to say and tell him you are kind of freaked out about this!esp since my moods effect him & our kids_LOLestatic He makes me laugh! So I’m taking deep breathes, calming myself and I’m going to collect more data! I just shouldn’t look at this vague letter anymore because i just get worked up again and say WTF is it supposed to mean-“verify stability” not smoothing talk here peopleworried

Last April 2008 I went for my yearly checkup at the gyno.  Everyone in the office knew I had colon cancer and was going through chemo treatment.  They called to let me know there was a problem with my pap smear results.  Abnormal cells.  Freaked me out because I thought the colon cancer had spread to the uterus or cervix.  Instead it was abnormal because of the chemo.

I had a recheck in Sept 2008.  A week later I get a card in the mail from the gyno office saying they had tried to reach me and to please call ASAP.  Really freaked me out now because I’d been told the colon cancer was gone.

I called them back only to find out a staffer had sent out the card because I hadn’t had a mammogram in a year’s time.  WTF?  They hadn’t even tried to PHONE me!  They scare me to DEATH over this and they know I’ve had three PET scans in the past year and the last one showed no cancer or tumors in my body.  That mammogram is of no concern to me right now.

I was so angry that they upset and worried me over this.  I thought they were telling me there was another problem with the pap.

      They really don’t think.
