As I was reading through the news yesterday, a sad headline came through..“Nine Year Old Girl Murdered In Souderton.”

Now, Souderton is a very nice, more rural suburb in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  I have friends that live there and they have always felt secure.

Apparently, this young girl, Skylar and her friend were somewhat friendly with a next door neighbors..a twenty-four year old young man and his fiance.  One day, the girls were playing and they asked to use his bathroom (very odd to me, why did they not use their own bathroom?), he said yes..while inside the bathroom, there were pictures of naked women plastered all over the wall, and he then came inside and exposed himself to them.

The girls told Skylar’s mom who then phoned the police.  The Assistant District Attorney would not press charges as there was not enough evidence.

Two days ago, Skylar went missing and was found the next day in a garbage dumpster.  She had been brutally beaten, raped and strangled to death.  The evidence now pointed to this man and the authorities have him in custody.

This does not make sense to me.  Why was the mother’s accusation not taken seriously?  These girls knew this young man very well.

The police department and ADA may have more on their conscience now, and that is the poor dead girl’s blood.

What are your thoughts about this?
