So....I just stopped by the health food store on my way home from having lunch with Matt.  I picked up some currants...going to make some Welsh Cookies this weekend.  Anyway...I picked up a bottle of Virgil's Vanilla Diet Cream Soda.  Here are the ingredients:  purified carbonated water, xylitol, vanilla extract, caramel color, spices, stevia, ginseng, ginkgo, rhodiola, hibiscus, amalaki, shatavari.  It has 6 calories for a 12oz bottle.  Sounds good right...or at least interesting? is horrible.  I have taken 2 sips and it is just horrible...I can't even think of another term for it.  Has anyone else tried this?  It is actually labeled as a dietary supplement.  I'm not sure what exactly is making it taste so is way too sweet.  I use stevia in my tea everyday and it doesn't taste like stevia...I'm wondering if it is the xylitol.  By the way...did I mention it tasted horrible.  This is 6 calories I won't be consuming today.  I'm going to seal the bottle back up and have Matt try it later.  That would be a little mean of me wouldn't it!?  Oh, just in case I forgot to mention tastes horrible.  Well, I'm off to brush my tongue...again...I can't get rid of this horrible taste in my mouth.  Blech!!
