"Weathering Through"’

We had quite the winter this year.  There were a lot of snow storms.  A blanket of white snow seemed to cover everything.

We're now into March and so the weather and landscape around us has changed.

The snow has since melted and the brown ground revealed. It's around this time that the first flowers of spring appear.  They are called Crocuses.  Green leaves pull up through the ground and the flower petals form.

I marvel at the Crocuses resilience.  The weather in March can be quite varied.
Some days are very cold and windy, while other days are warm with a light breeze.  These flowers grow and bloom at this time of year and manage through the weather.  On cold days, the flowers close up their petals against the cold.  When the days warm up, they open up their beautiful petals to the suns rays, soaking in the nourishment.  They exhibit a true hardiness at a season when the weather changes a lot.

They are a good example of the flexibility and resilience of life.
