What another weekend so soon????  Yes and this one is pretty darn special.  Okay, so was last Friday when our daughter had her 5th wedding anniversary, but I digress-Adam and Sam, our son and future daughter-in-law, have finally received the keys to their condo.  

This was a long torturous experience.  It was nothing like the neat little bows and congratulatory surprise room that you see on HGTV's "MY FIRST PLACE".  These two went through the ringer and deserve to have some happy time now.
So I decided to have a really special dinner!

I will be serving:

BBQ rib eye steak marinated in adobo sauce (Adam likes things spicy)

Roasted pear and arugula salad.  Roast the Bosc pears for about 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven.  Spray with olive oil and sprinkle on salt and pepper.  Cool and slice very thin.  Toss with arugula, thin slices cucumber and some champagne vinaigrette, top with some crumbled goat cheese or feta cheese and some toasted pine nuts.

Sarah's favorite mashers-my recipe for the best mashed potatoes around.

Dessert?  Either espresso brownies with a raspberry drizzle or breakfast cookies.

Then comes the real fun-they leave us to go do more work on the place since the new floors are being put in next week.
