I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day! The best part was watching the grandchildren rip open the gifts and run from one to the other.

My sister came to visit and talk. It was great sitting up all night talking and laughing like we use to do before we became “all grown up“. Having the day with no worries or stress was my Christmas gift and being with my sister made me remember some of the things mama preached to us growing up. It reminded me that above all I must keep the faith, stand strong and wait on God.

Even though she was not actually there....she was there.

    • I believe the hardest thing about growing up is being grown. Keep the memories alive in your heart. God Bless!

    • Isn't it nice to just be able to spend time with your sister and just enjoy it ....the luxury of just being together – I spent the day with my baby sister Judi and we had a ball talking about our older sister Lyn who died earlier this year and talking about her tricks and winding my mother up etc;

      I gave my time to several people this Christmas season....and it was truly a blessing to me.

    • Thanks Ladies! The really strange about all of this is that my sister and I grew apart as adults but through all of the stuff we found each other again.

      Mama would be happy.

    • Deb, you and your sister should make a pack to get together 2 or 3 times a year and just hang out. Stay up all night, and make new memories. There’s nothing like celebrating the youth we all still have in us.
      I’m so glad that you enjoyed the time spent with no stress and believing that all things are possible and already decided for us.

    • bfly....this is a great picture! You all look like there is fun afoot. It’s cool that all three of you are close. There are five of us but only my sister next to me in age are close. I’m okay with it because it is something and something is better than nothing at all.

      You go Girl...No makeup; we both look good.

    • Deborah, what a awesome time you and your sister had, I am sure.  Sisters are truly a blessing.  I have two and I am in the middle, so sometimes I feel as though I am being pulled in both directions, but boy, I love them dearly.  We are separated by distance, but we talk every week and keep that connection going.

      Every year I go to NY and visit with them for about a month and it is always hard for me to leave and return to TX.

      Glad you and your sis found your way back to each other...your mom would definitely be proud.
