    • Rose, what a beautiful, straight-forward, loving video. I’ve been asking myself that very question lately, and I realize:

I’m here for my kids and grandkids.

Yes, I want to finish another novel, I’d love to do well in business, etc etc, but what REALLY will matter in my life?

My family. Love. Being there for family members who might need me, even if just to talk.

I’m thinking that often it’s the details, the small things. Not always, of course, but for me right now, it’s taking the baby so my son and DIL can have an evening to themselves. It’s taking an hour to talk to my teenage granddaughter who’s upset about something in her teenage drama way. I get the teenage drama thing, so she knows she has an ear.

My high school class has its 45th reunion coming up - I’m here to go to that reunion, to reunite with the “kids” that were such a major part of my own teenage consciousness.

I’m also ranting, so I guess it’s time to stop.

Okay, just one more thing. Yes, I’ve always wanted to be a mega-succesful whatever, but so far that’s not happening, and now, at this point in my life, I don’t consider that a failure. Because my family loves me and I love them. And my friends and I love each other. I truly think that’s where it’s at.

Suzann, back away from the keyboard.

    • Suzanne, that was beautifully said. The love we have for our family, friends, neighbors, and even those we‘re yet to cross paths with,  and how we show that love and kindness are what deeply enrich our lives. After all, isn’t that what is the greatest gift of all? And in the end it’s that LOVE and what we do with that love, that counts the most.

      Blessings heartheart

    • Love this!

My thoughts on what I’m here for has certainly changed thru out my life. But here are some things that have never changed and will always be:

      My Hubz
      My Kids
      My Sisters
      My Nieces and their family
      My Friends

To always leave people I meet with a sense of their worthiness and value. To know that in my pusuit of excellence I may inspire someone else.
