    • There was one year when I was 14 or 15. My parents were divorced and I lived with my mom who was struggling to make ends meet. I have 2 older sisters and they both had just moved back home for a short time.
We barely had enough to buy gifts or holiday dinner let alone any decorations. Someone bought us a tree and we used the cuttings from the tree to make a wreath. We also makde popcorn garland for the tree. We also made a star for the tree made out of aluminum foil. We glues glitter and garland on it. We still have that star to this day.
We had so much fun making everything we completely did not focus on the lack of anything else.
