Have you watched a boxing match? The boxers move with such fluidity, almost like a well choreographed dance; right hook, met by a return left jab followed by punch after punch after punch until one is completely beaten. The victor has accomplished their goal, they have won the fight.   So many of us box with ourselves, the result we beat ourselves down to the point of a knock out. The real difference is there is no victor, and potentially you have kept yourself from your attaining a goal.  We throw jabs at our self esteemed, self confidence, and self worth. We punch by telling ourselves such lies as "I can't," "I'm not worthy," "it's too hard."   I know I have done this over and over again. Have you?  Have you convinced yourself that you can't or don't have what it takes, or the hardest punch of all that you are unworthy.  Often we are our own toughest opponent.

Imagine what life would be like if you stopped throwing inner jabs at yourself. If you actually started being your own biggest proponent. If you believed that could conquer any goal. If you convince yourself of your positive attributes and stopped dwelling on the self perceived negatives. Can you envision the end result? Publishing that book you have been writing for years, taking that dream trip, going back for that degree, or starting that new career.

So here is the homework assignment

1. Write down one thing that you have put off doing, the big dream;  writing a blockbuster novel, getting that degree, taking that trip, opening the business. Whatever it is, write it down in big letters.

2. List all of the steps necessary to achieve the goal. It all begins with a plan.

3. Remove all self limiting words and phrases from your verbiage. Consider can't and don't four letter words.

4. Take your list of action steps and get to them. Step by step.

5. Finally, but incredibly important, comment on this blog tell us your dreams, and how you are going to achieve them, lets encourage each other. We all have greatness within us, let it come out.

Oh my dream, take my and platform to the next level... first step find an agent/publicist, suggestions welcome.
