Spring is a wonderful time of year, the weather warms, plants are in bloom and it is a great time to gain new perspective. Many of us go through the annual rituals of spring cleaning our homes. We scrub, dust, sweep and polish until every last surface sparkles like new. We painstakingly go through closets purging unnecessary or useless items;  the pants that looked great in 1994 when they were in style, the blouse that is being held together by safety pins, The orange tiger striped shoes were bought on sale that don't work with any outfit. If it's too short, long, tight, big or outdated is gets tossed or donated. In with the new, out with old. Then the unexpected reward; the sense of accomplishment when the job is done. A sense of clarity.  Spring cleaning your life can be extremely cathartic and rewarding and give you a sense of being renewed and regenerated.

Start by taking stock of where you are. Take a look at all of the areas of your life; family, marriage, friendships, career, spiritual.  Are your relationships working well? Are you happy and productive in your career? Are you in a good place spiritually and emotionally?

Can the areas that are working well be even better? Accentuate the positive.

Next figure out what areas of your life need improvement. What is holding your back from really thriving? Are you holding onto toxic friendships that no longer fit?  Are you experiencing legal or financial problems that will cause you stress until they are cleared up?

Finally, but most importantly, do the work. Spring clean your life. Polish your marriage and make it shine. Purge relationships that for one reason or another just don't fit.  Get your legal and financial house in order. Seek out support to get in a good place emotionally. Take the time to get your health in check. Sweep out all of the negative feelings and emotions you harbor which are holding you back from living a happy and fulfilled life.
